Tradeshow / Exhibits

I’ve designed trade show booths, exhibit graphics, and event environments for a wide range of organizations and audiences. At Unbound, I created booth and event materials for the organization as well as its running group, the Trailblazers. At Mid-America Arts Alliance, I developed branded exhibit and event graphics, including work connected to ExhibitsUSA traveling exhibitions. While at DMH Advertising, I produced trade show materials for clients including Scissors & Scotch, carrying established brand systems into large-format, attention-grabbing environments. More recently, I created event and booth graphics for Great Jobs KC.

Across these projects, I’ve worked on everything from banners, backdrops, signage, and large-format graphics to supporting collateral and environmental elements—always thinking about how the brand reads at scale, how people move through the space, and how to make the message clear from across a crowded room.

 Make Your Mark conference

In 2024, I took on one of my most physically demanding—and logistically complex—projects: the Make Your Mark Conference at the Kansas City Convention Center.

Working across more than 300,000 square feet, I helped turn a massive convention space into a cohesive, branded experience. We reused as many existing materials as possible, while I handled the production and installation of wayfinding signage, banners, room identifiers, projected wall logos, a conference map and brochure, staff and scholar T-shirts, and large banners where students could leave their own messages.

I also supported the event beyond the physical space, creating branded presentation decks, flyers, and social media content to carry the visual identity throughout the conference.

Unfortunately, I don’t have great photos of every wayfinding element—and with a space that large, a lot of the work was spread across halls, rooms, and corridors—but this project is a good example of my ability to think at scale, solve problems on the fly, and get hands-on when it takes more than sitting behind a computer to bring a design to life.
